The SOAS Bar Society and SOAS Law Society are hosting a careers event, titled 'In conversation with barristers, solicitors, and dispute resolution practitioners'. This event is aimed to give an insight into different career paths in law.
The date of the event is Thursday the 21st of March at 7 PM, B104. The panellists will consist of two barristers, solicitors, a mediator, and an arbitrator. The evening will begin with a brief introduction from the panellists, a discussion and Question&Answer session between the panellists and the students, and a brief networking session.

Sarabjit Singh QC from 1 Crown Office Row - specialised in diverse areas of law, including tax, public law, historic abuse cases and clinical negligence.
Tara Lyons from Pump Court Chambers - specialised in Family and Civil Law.
Benjamin NG - Associate in Freshfields disputes, litigation and arbitration.
Aliya Al-Yassin - Slaughter and May Trainee Solicitor
Dr. Emilia Onyema - FCIArb, Lecturer in Commercial Arbitration
Michael Bartlet - Mediator and non-practising barrister
Mohammad Mehmood - Associate at Allen & Overy, Co-founder of the SOAS Law Journal and former Co-Editor-in-Chief.
We are anonymously collecting questions which students may have through the form below, which will be distributed at the beginning of the event, so that all students have a starting point to facilitate the discussion with the panellists.
