ELSA UK and ELSA Ireland are delighted to announce the launch of the Amicus Essay Competition in collaboration with Amicus ALJ, a charity that helps provide representation to those facing the death penalty in the USA.
First prize is a 2-week Work Experience Placement at Amicus ALJ in their London Offices and publication of the winning essay in the upcoming Student Comparative and European Law Review (SCELR).
Topic: 'The role of the jury: should individuals who are not experts be able to decide whether someone is sentenced to death?'
Judges include prominent academics and QCs.
