The final batch of places are available for Legal Cheek's next student commercial awareness event, ‘How will Brexit disarray affect future lawyers? With Ashurst, Hogan Lovells, Henderson Chambers, Shearman & Sterling and ULaw’.

The speakers are:

Ashurst
Lorraine Johnston, counsel with expertise in providing clients with commercial advice on key regulatory developments affecting financial services firms.

Henderson Chambers
Sir Alan Dashwood QC, a barrister whose 40-year career in EU law has seen him appear regularly before the European Courts, litigating for the Council in its disputes with other EU institutions and Member States.

Shearman & Sterling
James Webber, a partner in the firm's antitrust practice in Brussels and London who focuses on EU and UK antitrust law.

Hogan Lovells
Andrew Eaton, an associate in the firm's public law and policy team with experience advising clients on the legal and policy implications of Brexit.

The University of Law

In a Question Time-style discussion, chaired by a Legal Cheek journalist, speakers will answer students’ questions and share their views on what Brexit may hold for the future of the profession.

Afterwards, there will be drinks, nibbles and networking with the speakers, trainees/pupils from the firms/chambers and members of their graduate recruitment teams.

Apply to attend. You’ll be asked to submit a CV and two questions for the panel.
