Our next meeting will see the launch of YLAL's new social mobility report: "Young Legal Aid Lawyers: Social Mobility in a Time of Austerity", Wednesday 14 March, 18:30, University of Law, Moorgate (2 Bunhill Row).
Following a membership wide survey we have completed a detailed report on the state of social mobility for junior lawyers in the legal aid sector. We will be launching our report in a series of nationwide local events. We encourage all those lawyers - junior, senior, management, partners, junior barristers, QCs, lecturers, teachers - with an interest in encouraging social mobility in the sector, and understanding the barriers to it, to join us!
The launch will feature a keynote speech from Amanda Weston QC of Garden Court Chambers and a discussion on the report's key findings. Please note the change of venue (University of Law, Moorgate campus) from our normal meetings and do make sure to register on Eventbrite for your free ticket. We expect the event to be even more popular than usual so register early to avoid disappointment!
The launch will be followed by a drinks reception, kindly sponsored by the University of Law.
