A tour of the UK Supreme Court is booked on Thursday 7th December at 9.30am. The tour will be free of charge.
There are only 29 places. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis via this link on Eventbrite!
If you want to reserve a place, please register using your SOAS email address
The tour will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour. If we are lucky, there may also be an opportunity to observe some of an appeal hearing, but this is dependent on the court schedule and space in the public seating areas - so no guranteess but keep your fingers and toes crossed!
There is an interactive educational exhibition on the lower ground floor, which you may wish to visit at the end of the tour.
You are welcome to bring your cameras along with you as photography is permitted within the Supreme Court (as long as a court is not in session) however please note that recording of any kind is not permitted.
I encourage you to view the educational video before the visit. The film provides a basic overview of the Court’s work, in an accessible style: http://www.supremecourt.uk/introductory-film.html
Finally, we will have to go through an airport-style security check as we enter the building, so please try to travel light as there are also no cloakroom facilities available so please avoid bringing any bulky items or luggage.
The meeting point will be confirmed prior to the visit via email.
If we arrive 10 minutes late, our tour will be cancelled so we will have to move on as a group if anyone is late.
Book now before places run out!
